The General Assembly of the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC) took place in Berlin, Germany at the Metropolitan Solutions Trade Fair.
Smart cities can improve the quality of life of European citizens, improve the competitiveness of our economies and lead the way towards a sustainable, low carbon economy.
The EIP-SCC is working towards the large-scale, economically viable roll-out of smart cities by bringing cities, companies, research organisations and others together. More than 4,000 partners from 31 countries have signed up to carry out actions as part of the six 'action clusters'.
The General Assembly reflected on achievements, challenges and actions needed to advance smart cities.
