Meeting the challenges for the energy sector in view of the 2050 objectives, including the need to strengthen Europe's competitiveness and ensure security of supply needs a strong and structured interaction with all relevant stakeholders. The first Berlin Energy Forum, in February 2014, aimed to encompass a wide and cross-cutting debate and provide a balanced platform for stakeholders' input to the conception, preparation and support of the Commission's policy making process in the field of energy.
